SYNOPSIS
A serial killer stalks the Scottish wilderness. When a young man’s body is discovered, DI Monica Kennedy must catch the murderer before a small community is torn apart.
HOW WE ACHIEVED IT
For ITV’s thriller The Dark, we delivered a range of visual effects work across the series- heightening the impact of key story moments whilst maintaining the show’s grounded and realistic feel.
Gunfight sequence
For a shotgun fight sequence, our team created a range of visual effects to bring the destruction and intensity of the action to a nail-biting climax. From bullet impacts and shattering glass to falling debris, muzzle flashes and atmospheric smoke, each effect helped ground the action while amplifying the tension and energy of the sequence.
Blood enhancements
To enhance the violence of the crime scenes and character injuries, we developed fluid simulations for blood interactions, including blood dripping from a chandelier, splattering across walls and pooling across floors.
