SYNOPSIS

Adrift in a big, confusing world and armed with nothing but a bit of hope and a lot of desperation, Jen begins her journey to find her maybe-superpower; in doing so, she might discover the joy of being just kind of ok.

HOW WE ACHIEVED IT

Making the supernatural look natural is no mean feat, but our artists love a challenge! From flying, to invisibility, to animal transformations - we made magic. Our Head of VFX outlined the process in creating the latter:

'While there were technical aspects to the effect, it really was a creative challenge.
The brief we were given was more conceptual than visual: the transformation needed to be funny, ridiculous, and needed to feel out of Jizzlord's control.

Translating those concepts into images was challenging, but it was also the fun part of the process.

So we "rolled" him into a chaotic ball of cat parts and human limbs, abruptly sucked up into thin air. The sudden appearance of a full-sized man generates a shockwave: it is reality rippling around him, as a bunch of matter disappears and a bigger one violently enters the fabric of space/time. We wanted to also give a slight sense of physical trauma, so in the aftermath we see clumps of hair floating around him. We're not sure if it is cat fur or human hair. We like to think that every time this happens, he loses a little bit of hair due to the rough nature of the transformation.'
