A successful Los Angeles art gallery owner’s idyllic life is marred by the constant travelling of her handsome second husband. While he is away, she is shaken by the arrival of a manuscript written by her first husband, who she has not seen in years. The manuscript tells the story of a teacher who finds a trip with his family turning into a nightmare. As Susan reads the book, it forces her to examine her past and confront some dark truths. Written and directed by Tom Ford, it is based on the 1993 novel Tony and Susan by Austin Wright.
HOW WE ACHIEVED IT

All of the visual effects work was completed using Autodesk Flame. The team included; Andrew Maddison, Sarah Buisson, Martin Goodwin, Jaime Leonard, Dom Thomson and Simon Wilkinson.
The post-production supervisor on behalf of Fade to Black Films was Mark Harris.
Managing director Simon Wilkinson said: “It was great fun working with Tom Ford and the entire production team. We really enjoyed all of the reviews with production and Tom was brilliant to work for. The incredibly high production value of the film allowed us all to push the standards higher without compromise.”
