Client:New Pictures

Date:October 2016

Services:Completed and deliver various visual effects shots.

A young British woman stumbles through the streets of Eckhausen in Germany and collapses. Her name is Alice Webster, and she was abducted from the same town 11 years ago. Her return sends shockwaves through the tight-knit local community, as her family are thrown into turmoil.

The Flying Colour Company provided on-set supervision for key VFX shots and followed the work through in post-production.

The circa 300 shots comprised both invisible fixes – such as levelling out falling and fallen snow – and more complex VFX sequences including the creation of a gatehouse entrance to a military base and various stunt scenes.

All work was completed using Autodesk Flame. TFCC creative director Dominic Thomson headed up the creative team.

Managing director Simon Wilkinson said: “Providing VFX for The Missing 2 was emotionally important to TFCC and it continues to be great fun working with all the team”
